And with the driver's side spring broken, the axle wanted to twist backwards, causing the passenger side spring haner to tear off the frame. I re-welded it to the frame, adding some scraps of steel I carry in my parts box to reinforce the damaged areas (both repairs held up perfect for the remaining 4.5 mile tow to Kaiser Pass).   (22/23)
