For trucks needing a Delrin/Teflon pivot tube (like an open ended pivot cup), here is a large dia. (0.780") x 15/32" hole pivot tube that works with the Don't Trip Poppy baseplates. Tube is slightly oversize (by ~0.010") to allow sanding down (see previous page for a easy sanding tip) for a perfect fit in your base plate. WIth these pivot tubes, make sure you have a tool/method for extracting the tube prior to pressing it in place. You may need to pull it back out if the fit is too tight and without a way to get it out w/o damaging the tube, you may run into problems. A 1/2" bolt or threading tap works well as a bushing extractor. A coarse threaded bolt or tap works best, but a fine threaded bolt will also work. Simply start threading the end of the bolt or tap into the tube intil it is in a few turns then gently twist/rock the pivot tube out of the base plate. Unfortunately, Don't Trip didn't machine the base plate with a hole to allow easier pivot tube extraction. Likewise, it seems that very odd size dimensions were used, instead of the common 0.750 in. pivot cup as used by many cast and precision trucks, a unique 0.770" tube was used and it also has a non-standard ID. Luckily, this material sands quite easily, especially when you can spin the tube in a power drill as noted in the previous page. You want a snug fit, but if the tube is a little loose, simply wrap a little tape around it before tapping it into the hole or use an adhesive like Shoe Goo or similar to glue it in place. All you are trying to do is keep the tube fixed into the base plate recess and let the hanger pivot move inside the tube.   (67/70)
