Frame BracesApp: 1986 -1995 Toyota 4runners and 4wd pickups Frame braces mount between the lower control arms on 1st and 2nd generation Toyota 4X4's with IFS. These braces prevent the mounts from spreading apart under heavy impact while serving as a convenient surface for skit plate mounting. These are made from .25" steel all around and are very strong. The frame brace comes with all necessary hardware. The frame braces will normally cost $149 + shipping, although these are currently out of stock. Typical distance between the vehicle LCA mounts is 17". |

Idler Arm BushingsApp: NOTE, these do NOT fit the production idler arm. They fit 4WD 4Runner/Pickup Idler Arm, Autozone FA5040, McQuay-Norris FA5040, Kragen/O'Reilly FA5040 only!!!! Why just support one arm? If you are tired of destroying stock plastic idler arm bushings this will help. These bronze bearings are machined to exacting tolerances in order to provide maximum strength and life. They are very hard and durable. As a result, not only can they bare much more load and resist wear, they also transmit much less shock to the steering wheel making the truck easier to handle on rough roads. SDORI measured numerous idler arms in search of the strongest and most affordable to support. Luckily for us and you we found both in one arm. Check out our cost comparison.
Beware of parts normally spec'd for 2WD 4 cylinder trucks being sold for 4WD 4 cylinder and V6 trucks and 4runners! One example is the Sankei 555 idler arm. This arm as been sold (packaged) as an FA5040 but is not the same arm. The shaft is of a smaller diameter and the arm is not as strong. It is also more expensive, sometimes 2X more, than the stronger actual FA5040 sold at AutoZone. SDORI recommends customers purchase from a local autoparts store or if ordering, doing so from a major chain like AutoZone. These stores can quickly and easily address these issues. |

4WD Ball Joint SpacersApp: 86-95 4WD 4runners and pickups and T100s. (Also works in 2WD 4runners and T100s) These spacers are CNC machined out of T6061 aluminum and provide 1.5" of lift over stock suspension settings as well as 1.5" more overall travel. Enhanced compression travel is well suited for high speed trips through desert washes. By allowing the upper control arm to remain more level as it was designed to be, suspension flex is improved which helps both off road and on.
Beware of parts normally spec'd for 2WD 4 cylinder trucks being sold for 4WD 4 cylinder and V6 trucks and 4runners! SDORI stumbled upon companies (even reputable ones like NAPA) cutting corners and selling customers weaker 2WD parts for 4WD applications. One sure sign you are receiving an inferior ball joint is if the base is not nicely radiused like the original ball joint base is. Instead it is cut into a simple trapezoidal shape as if cut on a chop saw. Another indication you are getting a weaker 2WD part is if the ball joint is listed for a 2WD application as well as the 4WD (bolt pattes are the same). Checking to make sure your ball joint is only listed for a 4WD truck will help to ensure you get a part designed for the higher stresses of a 4WD vehicle. |

D-Ring Anchors on sale for $99/pair!
App: 1st and 2nd generation trucks and 4runners. State the year of your truck upon order as hardware changes slightly with the year. Another SDORI original design! Now one does not need to purchase an aftermarket bumper to have D-Ring anchors. These anchors are CNC machined out of steel to have a working load limit comparable but slightly higher than the 5/8" D-Ring shackle for which they are intended. This is a genuinely engineered product designed with extensive FEA. They come powder coated black with necessary hardware. D-Rings are not included but can be purchased readily and inexpensively at your local 4WD store. |
