Body Lift Kit Pricing/Ordering Page
NOTE: Due to high order volume and supply chain issues, it may take some time for deliveries, production and shipments to catch up. Order backlog could be up to 8 weeks.
Includes short bed, long bed, Xtra cab, PreRunner, and double cab
models (i.e. all Tacoma pickup models)
On this page, the following pickup model descriptions apply and should
be used for ordering to ensure the proper fitment of the kit as there
and many marketing names given to the various pickup models over the
years:
A Regular Cab model has a short cab with just two
doors.
An Xtra Cab model has a longer cab with two full
size doors and 2 smaller seats in back.
A Double Cab model has the longest cab and 4 doors
and full size seats in back.
3" lift is available but may require gas tank filler hose
extensions, etc.
For 2001+, the inner bumper may need to be relocated to clear the outer
bumper
1.5" or 2" denotes either lift height is
available, one or the other, it's not an adjustable height lift.
The 0" kits can be used for body lift removal, restoring the
vehicle to stock height, optionally replaceing the OEM rubber bushings
with polyurethane.
Hardware:
For hardware-only orders, use the 0"-kit D pricing and specify the
lift height in the order description.
Limitations:
On trucks with the 3.4L-V6 engine and Edelbrock headers, you may
experience clearance issues at the steering rag joint when the body lift steering
spacer is installed.
You can check for vertical clearance above the rag joint to the exhaust
header, the spacers are approx. the same (3") diameter as the rag
joint and a 1" lift spacer is approx. 3/4" tall, 1.5"
lift spacer is 1-1/4" tall, 2" lift spacer is approx.
1-3/4" tall and 3" lift spacer is approx. 2-1/2" tall.
1" body lift seems to be the maximum lift in this application, but
feel free to measure for yourself.
On trucks with 4" or taller ProComp lifts,
steering extension beyond 5/8" tall may not clear the steering
rack drop bracket.
There is of course no problem with no body lift on these trucks as
there is no steering extension used for stock height.
And to check for steering extension clearance, find the rubber rag joint
at the top of the steering rack and see if that part
can be raised from 3/4" to 2-1/2" (corresponding to a 1"
- 3" body lift) without hitting any lift-associated brackets.
The "Typical Kit" contains those parts typically needed to
lift a typical vehicle that height, thus the name "Typical
Kit".
0" typical kit would also be called a "body
lift removal kit"
A typical vehicle is one that is somewhat close to stock, that is has
the stock engine, stock steering, stock bumpers, etc.
Note, things like suspension lifts, larger than stock tires, etc. have
little or no impact on a body lift.
After all, all those things do is to raise the frame higher off the
ground. A body lift in turn simply raises the body off the frame. So in
a sense the body lift could care less what sort of suspension or tires
are sitting below the frame.
The only issue in a 4" or taller suspension lift is noted above
(see: the ProComp note above).
Feel free to add or subtract from the typical kit as your needs
dictate;
For example if you have a custom front bumper, subtract the Front
Bumper (FB) brackets from your kit and adjust the price accordingly.
Or if you wish to upgrade to the Heavy Duty hardware, add the HD option
to your kit and adjust the price accordingly.
You can click on the link under the part's description to find out in
detail what a given item does and how it is installed.
Notes:
Clicking on the links under the DESCRIPTION column
in the tables below take you to a DESCRIPTION OF THE
ITEM.
If an item price is listed under a given height but not highlighted as
part of the typical kit, that means it is not typically ordered as part
of the typical kit, but can be installed if desired. Consult the
installation notes for that item to see what other options are
available in lieu of installing that particular item.
If an item is listed as "n/a" under a given lift height, it
is "not applicable" or "not available" at that
given height.
If you want to order that kit or item, click on the shipping/ordering
link.
The body lift kits consist of the following items:
Body lift blocks:
Ultimate blocks in UHMW polyethylene:
2 - 2" and 4 - 2.5" OD blocks for the cab
6 - 2" OD blocks for the bed
OD = Outer Diameter
Natural color is white, may be custom colored in black with the CLR
option
Also available in cab-only and standard size (all 2" OD) blocks.
For lifts between the heights listed below, use the next higher kit
price, e.g. for a 1.5" lift, use the 2" pricing
Hardware is available in several options.
Standard grade (Grade 5) hardware is included in kits C or D, includes
longer bolts for each body mount location
Hardware may be upgraded to Heavy Duty (Grade 8) by ordering the HD
option
Optional Front Bumper brackets to raise the stock front bumper to match
the lift
Optional Radiator drop brackets to lower the radiator to align with the
stock radiator fan
Steering shaft extensions bolt-on to extend the steering shaft to match
the lift (SE)
Optional Bed Spacers can be used to support the center of the cargo bed
over the rear wheels, if needed
Use one pair of spacers any place the bed rails rest on (or close to)
the frame. They act kind of like an overload leaf in your rear spring
pack, in case you were to load the bed with some heavy bulk cargo
causing it to sag in the middle.
How many do I need? Well, best to look under the bed of your truck and
see how many places the bed rails rest up the frame, without being
bolted down.
Short bed models can typically use pair of spacers underneath the rear
wheel well.
Long bed models may have a 2nd position where the bed rests on the
frame and a 2nd pair of bed spacers can be installed if desired.
Again, it will depend on your you plan to use your truck. If the most
cargo it ever sees is a cooler and a couple of folding chairs, no
worries about the bed sagging. Likewise with a motorcycle or ATV, those
place their weight over the front and rear of the bed with no weight in
the center. Likewise, rigid cargo like lumber is mostly self-supporting
and does not put a lot of weight in the middle of the bed. However, if
you haul bricks, sod, gravel, dirt or other heavy bulk cargo, then yes,
adding bed spacers is probably a good idea.
Some states, notably Hawaii, may require bed spacers on pickups with
body lifts, so be sure to check with your local vehicle safety
inspection facility for requirements in that area. Also, Hawaii also
seems to have a 2.5" height limit on body lifts, so 2" is
fine, 3" may not be. Again, be sure to check if your locality has
any such limitations prior to ordering.
Optional Shift lever extensions that screw onto the shift lever to
extend it 2" or 3" to match the lift
Optional Polyurethane body mount bushings replace the stock rubber
bushings, if needed.
1995.5-2000 model years for regular and extra cabs and 2001-2004 double
cabs only
: Pricing on this page reflects the
"kit discount" on certain items when purchased as part of a
body lift kit.
Why the date and model ranges below? The grouping below are where there
were significant changes in the vehicle design that affects the body
lift components to the point where a different kit is needed. Within a
given date/model range, all body lift kit components are the same.

Below is body lift kit information for the later model Tacoma pickups.
Lift kit uses 12 lift blocks in total, in the ultimate kit, 8 of those
blocks are the larger 2.5" diameter size, the remainder are
2" (standard kit is all 2" diameter blocks). On the ultimate
kits, 2 - 2" and 4 - 2.5" diameter blocks on the cab and the
same on the bed.
(****) For the Steering Extension (SE1/SE2), make sure you
determine what type of steering shaft you have on your truck.
In this generation of Tacoma pickups, there seem to be 2 or 3 different
types of steering shafts used by Toyota. They are similar in functions,
but not similar in terms of body lifts and extending the steering shaft
(if needed).
The first type of shaft has a traditional rubber rag joint that is held
together by a pair of bolts.
The SE1 steering extension can be used with this type of rag joint.
Some models have a riveted rag joint and if you have that style, you
would need to drill out those rivets before installing the SE2
extension.
Some owners with riveted rag joints have reported no need for the
steering extension up to 1.5" lift.
And if you have a riveted rag joint and want to install a spacer, order
the SE2 steering extension so we can drill out
the inner hole to 13/16" accommodate the larger center bolt on
that style rag joint and also, you'll need to drill out the rivets and
drill new holes in the rag joint metal to fit the steering spacer
mounting bolt holes.
And be sure you are able to do this drilling on your truck, it is in a
cramped space under the dash and you'll likely need a small right angle
drill and short, stubby 3/8"drill bit to access the rag joint
rivets in place or you will need to remove the rag joint from the truck
while installing the body lift to work on it on the bench.
So check before you order and be sure you are
able to install the part before you order.
Other models have no flanged connections and the rag joint steering
extensions (SE1/SE2) will not work with those models.
Standard steering extension not sized for lifts higher than 2", an
extra tall extension is used for the 2" lift.
Another option is that the steering shaft can be cut and sleeved with
tubing to extend it or there is one steering shaft clamp with bolts
that pass through grooves in the shaft where you may be able to grind a
new groove to allow the shaft trapped inside the clamp to be pulled out
farther in order to extend that shaft.
If removing a body lift with a rag joint steering extension, order the
0" SE1 oe SE2 kit item to get a pair of stock length rag joint
bolts.
Hardware upgrades are mutually exclusive in that only one can be
ordered, e.g. there is no HD+MET upgrade.
(*) The C1 and D1 kits will include 2 - 3/8"and 4 - 1/2"
bolts and nuts for the cab
We have reports that the 6 factory bed bolts are long enough to
accommodate a 1" body (bed) lift, so need not be replaced at that
lift height and thus hardware for the bed is not included in this
1" body lift hardware kit.
You may need to re-use one pair of the stock cab mount bolts for the
rear bed bolts as sometimes two of the stock bed bolts are a bit short
for a 1" lift.
(**) The C2 and D2 kits will include 2 - 3/8"and 4 - 1/2"
bolts and nuts for the cab as well as 2 longer metric bolts for the
rear 2 bed bolts which may be too short in the 1" lift and are too
short for the 1.5" lift.
The other 4 factory bed bolts are typically long to accommodate a
1" body/bed lift, so need not be replaced at that lift height and
thus hardware for the bed is not included in this 1" body lift
hardware kit.
The 4 longer cab bolts may also fit the bed on a 1.5" lift, so
this kit supplies the 2 additional bed bolts for the 1.5" lift.
(***) The C3 and D3 kits will include 2 - 3/8"and 4 - 1/2"
bolts and nuts for the cab as well as 6 longer metric bolts for the
bed.
And note that we are currently unable to supply bed hardware for lifts
over 2" tall.
Which option is recommended? It is all up to you:
All 3 options will work, depending on the lift height.
C1/D1 will give you the lowest cost option and retains the factory bed
bolts/heads.
C3/D3 will replace all your existing cab/bed hardware, and all the bed
bolts will be hex head style.
C2/D2 is a sort of middle ground with less work on your end in
modifying the cab bolts for use on the bed.
There seems to be two different bed bolt setups on these models. All
the bed bolts seem to be around 4.5" (115mm) long, but they have
lots of thread. So on some models, the bolts screw in over an inch into
the internal threaded nuts (thus being able to re-use the stock bolts
on a 1" lift). Other models, use the same length bolt, but it
screws much less than an inch into the internal threads.
This is easy enough to check, just back a couple of the bed bolts out
and see how far they screw out before they release the internal threads
and then measure that protruding length and let us know so we can size
the bed hardware accordingly.
Specify if you would like stock size (7/16") or oversize
(1/2") hardware:
Oversize hardware is stronger but may require that body mount washers
and bushings be enlarged slightly (to 1/2") to install the larger
bolts
Unless otherwise specified, the oversize hardware will be assumed for
both standard and heavy duty grade options, since most folks want the
benefit of the stronger, oversized hardware.
Oversize hardware is stronger but may require that body
mount washers and bushings be enlarged slightly (to 1/2") to
install the larger bolts
If this is an issue for you, select either an
undersized hardware option or the METric hardware option or order the
replaement poly cab mount bushings (item P).
This gives you the choice of 5 hardware options, since you can choose
from:
Undersize - standard grade; ~16% weaker than stock
Undersize - heavy duty grade; ~5% stronger than stock
Oversized standard grade; ~12% stronger than stock
(default for kits C or D)
Oversized - heavy duty grade; ~40% stronger than
stock (default for kits C+HD or D+HD)
Or if you want all metric hardware, order the METric hardware
upgrade, choose this option for easiest installation.
All hardware kits include longer bolts, nylon lock nuts and washers.
Poly cab bushings replace the original rubber
bushings. They also feature washers and sleeves large enough to accept
the stronger, over-sized hardware without needing to drill the original
bushing hardware.
Pc is a set of 6 polyurethane cab mount bushings to replace the OEM
rubber bushings
The 2 pair of 1-piece body mounts that bolt to the frame assume re-use of the OEM mounting bolts.
If you'ld like to replace those, add the Phw hardware kit that includes replacement bolts
and nuts to secure the body mount flanges to the frame bracket.
Pb is a set ot 6 polyurethane isolator washers to replace the OEM
rubber isolator pieces that have usually cracked and fallen out
If you want to replace all the rubber cab mount bushings and the rubber bed isolation washers, add items Pc and Pb to your order.
For 1" lifts with the aluminum (AL) lift block option, you can add
the isolator washers between the bed lift blocks and bed if you wish.
The UHMW polyetheylene lift blocks can serve the same purpose as the
isolation washers, but you can add them if you prefer
Bed Spacers (BS), short bed pickup models typically don't need the bed
spacers, long bed pickup models may be able to use them, see if your
bed rests on the frame under the rear wheel wells.

and then measure that protruding length and let us know so we can size
the bed hardware accordingly.
This gives you the choice of 4 hardware options, since you can choose
from:
Undersize - standard grade; ~16% weaker than stock
Undersize - heavy duty grade; ~5% stronger than stock
Oversized standard grade; ~12% stronger than stock
(default for kits C or D)
Oversized - heavy duty grade; ~40% stronger than
stock (default for kits C+HD or D+HD)
All hardware kits include longer bolts, nylon lock nuts and washers.
Or if you want metric hardware for the cab, order the METric hardware
upgrade.
Shift Lever extensions (SL): Specify the thread pitch
desired. M8-1.25 common (~5/16 dia.) but there may be M12-1.25
(~1/2" dia.)
What is listed in the above table is what is currently available, if it
is not listed above, it is NOT AVAILABLE at the present time, but if
you can supply the dimensions of the part needed, we can see if a
design can be done.
Be sure to check your front and rear bumper mounting to see how they
may or may not easily be relocated prior to ordering a lift kit:
For a more complete kit, see the
following web page and you may be able to help make a new kit
item available
And if you do install the current partial kit, let us know what extra
items you needed, such as bolt sizes, and modifications to factory
brackets such as bumpers, etc.
If you do a write-up or post on a public forum, let us know so we can
add a link to the installation information.
If you wish to paint your blocks a custom color, order the CLR option
and we'll prep the blocks for painting and you can paint the blocks upon receipt
The natural block color is white
(****) For the Steering Extension (SE1/SE2), make sure you
determine what type of steering shaft you have under the dash.

Below is preliminary body lift kit information for the Tundra pickups.
Lift kit uses 12 lift blocks in total, in the ultimate kit, 10 of those
blocks are the larger 2.5" diameter size, the remainder are
2". The standard kit is all 2" diameter blocks.
IMPORTANT NOTE on cab/bed hardware:
There seems to be some cab bolt length/diameter variation in the Tundra
models. For example in an '06 double cab, the cab has 6 bolts, all the
same length but the rear of the cab uses larger diameter (12mm) bolts
instead of 10mm. On an '01 model, the cab uses 10mm bolts on all 6 cab
mounts, but the rear 2 are about 1" or 25mm shorter than the other
4.
Bed bolts seem to be all te same length and diameter, most commonly
12mm, but some customers have requested 10mm. The bed bolts we can
source are regular hex head and don't have the button style Torx head
like the factory bolts may have.
If you want to be sure to get the right hardware lengths with your kit,
measure your stock cab and bed bolts and include that information in
your order. Or if you're unable to measure, we can send the two most
common sets of cab hardware and you can use whichever set fits. Add $45
to the kit price for the extra set of standard grade hardware and then
if you want that upgraded to the HD or MET versions, add an extra
upgrade option to the order.
We don't currently have a kit for the Gen 2 Tundra models. They seem to use
the same number and diameter lift blocks. The cab bolts seem to be the larger
12mm diameter size, likely the same for the bed. We don't know the lengths, but
if you can provide us that information, we should be able to source the hardware.
If you have a body lift that you want to remove, just let us know the
hardware size you have and the height of the body lift and we can
figure out the original size.
HD requires kit C or D to be ordered to upgrade the hardware in either
of those kits.
(**)3" kit requires the HD hardware upgrade due to the extra bolt length.
If you want all metric hardware for the cab and bed, be sure to add the
MET hardware upgrade
Otherwise, you'll receive a mix of 3/8" or 1/2" diameter bolts
and the 1/2" bolts may require enlarging holes in cab mount
washers to fit
We can also supply underized 7/16" bolts if requested that require
no drilling
The 1/2" bolts are stronger than the 12mm factory bolts.
(****) For the Steering Extension (SE1/SE2), make sure you
determine what type of steering shaft you have.
In this generation of Tundra pickups, there seem to be 2 different

but not similar in terms of body lifts and extending the steering shaft

Some owners with riveted rag joints have reported no need for the
steering extension up to 1" lift.
And if you have a riveted rag joint and want to install a spacer, order
the SE2 steering extension so we can drill out
the inner hole to 3/4" accommodate the larger center stud on that
style rag joint and also, you'll need to drill out the rivets and drill
new holes in the rag joint metal to fit the steering spacer mounting
bolt holes.
And be sure you are able to do this drilling on your truck, it is in a
cramped space under the hood and you'll likely need a small right angle
drill and short, stubby 3/8" or 10mm drill bit to access the rag joint
rivets in place or you will need to remove the rag joint from the truck
while installing the body lift to work on it on the bench.
So check before you order and be sure you are
able to install the part before you order.
Note that the typical kit pricing assumes the SE1
type extension, if you have the riveted type rag joint, you'll need to
specify SE2 and adjust the kit price
If you can't or don't want to check which type of steering rag joint
you have, you can order both SE1 and SE2
to have both on hand for installation
If removing a body lift with a rag joint steering extension, order the 0"
SE1 kit item to get a pair of stock length rag joint bolts.
Bed Spacers (BS), short bed pickup models typically don't need the bed
spacers, long bed pickup models may be able to use them, see if your
bed rests on the frame under the rear wheel wells.
CLR option, black is the default custom color
If you wish to paint your blocks a custom color, order the CLR option
and we'll prep the blocks for painting and you can paint the blocks upon receipt
The natural block color is white

may or may not easily be relocated prior to ordering a lift kit. Most
Tundra customers are using aftermarket bumpers set up for a body
lift.

- 2000-07 Gen. 1: We've made a few Sequoia kits, preliminary Sequoia
body lift fit information below.
For Gen 2 models (2008+), the Gen 1. kits may work, but best if you
check the number and size of the (typically 8) body mounts as well as
the lengths and diameters of the bolts (typically 120mm - 190mm and
10mm-12mm) and we can make sure to get the proper size hardware for
your kit.
Be sure to check the type of steering rag joint you have (bolted or
riveted) in order to get the correct style steering spacer.
Standard and HD hardware options will include 2 - 1/2" diameter
bolts that may require drilling factory body mount washers out from
12mm to fit the larger bolt.
If this is an issue, we can special order 2 undersized 7/16" diameter bolts in
place of the oversized one. These require no drilling. You'll need to add the HD
hardware option as we can only source these extra long bolts in Grade 8.
HD requires kit C or D to be ordered to upgrade the hardware in either
of those kits.
Kits above 1" tall require the HD hardware upgrade as we can only
source the extra long bolts needed in Grade 8.
If you want stock length metric hardware, be sure to add the MET
hardware upgrade
We're not able to source the extra long bolt needed for taller body lift
height in a metric size.

you have, you can order the SE2 and we can
supply that with 2 sets of bolts so that you'll have both on
hand for installation depending on the type of rag joint you have.
If removing a body lift with a rag joint steering extension, order the 0"
SE1 kit item to get a pair of stock length rag joint bolts.
CLR option, black is the default custom color
